Assisting with Masks for COVID-19

Mask Movement, a grassroots mutual-aid network, was invited to our campus by Mark Rutkiewicz, Innovize VP of Quality, to explore saving their volunteers hours and hours of time.

With the use of the Innovize R&D Lab and other equipment, our associates were able to help them streamline a process for cutting cotton fabric for face masks.

Their fabulous volunteer sewers said cutting the fabric was the bottleneck. But, in just a few hours, these two new friends coordinated cutting the fabric for 1100 double-sided face masks.

This is truly the Innovize purpose of ‘creating a culture and products that improve people’s lives’ in action!
